So much of NA is riddled with petty disputes and silly villains… but for me the truth of most relationships is you have overcome your own demons… not place that on some secondary characters So for me the struggle makes the story and this one though heartbreaking at times, was real. Finding resolutions that feel genuine and sweet. But somehow Elle manages to keep the fun feel of this series while tackling rough topics. If you were concerned, please give Allie a chance, I think you’ll love her and Dean.Įvery love story has it’s obstacles and The Score ripped my heart out in a few spots. I know there were a few who expected Dean to be paired up with his nemesis Sabrina, but for me Allie was the perfect girl to balance out Dean’s easy going live for the minute mentality. He’s not the broody one in the corner at all.Īllie, who we met in The Deal as Hannah’s roommate, is also a surprisingly wonderful addition to the series. But he’s so much more the social butterfly, life of the party all around FUN character. Every girl (okay, okay THIS girl) loves the bad boy, and I thought – really believed that was my Dean. I mean I’ve wanted to know how Elle is gonna redeem this manwhore and make me love him and she did it. I’ve been waiting for Dean (and Tucker) to hit my ereader for-evah. It’s a tall order writing a series that people love and continuing to provide unique characters, conflict, and still delivering on all the things that make my heart thump.
